| The thinking behind Chris Neadham |
When Nokia sponsored C4’s latest music show, they needed to build consumer relationships without breaching ofcom regulations. We extended the TV content into digital channels by creating back-stage super-blogger and borderline musicapath Chris Neadham, who interviewed, sang, blogged and socially networked his way into thousands of fans’ lives. Whereas the show ran for half an hour every week, it lived on and offline for 24 hours a day for the 16 week duration of the series. Chris Neadham is a fan of ‘the genre of music’, and fitted every conceivable genre, as long as there was music and the occasional download involved. For 16 weeks in a row he made videos backstage or at his personal bloggerdrome, and went wherever the music took him. By the end of the run, Chris had interviewed over 50 bands, made 90 videos for YouTube (his Jonas Brothers interview was top 5 on YouTube), posted 5000 pieces of web content, had over 250,000 visits to his blogs and talked individually to over 2000 fans. He is now on an extended tour of Japan. |
