Listify

January’s not great is it?

Gui & Club compadre Alex Nelson have made us a present to jolly things along somewhat.

Introducing Listify, a wee app that makes Spotify playlists out of iTunes playlists.

Although you’re obviously at the mercy of Spotify’s catalogue - you can finally export (most) of your music library to Spotify. You’re welcome.

Ready, Set, Ho Ho Ho.

Another year, another gruelling Royal Parks running race. If you cast your sights back you may remember our Kenyan distance athlete friend John Murithi.

Well, this year we manned up ourselves… three of us did anyway. Santa hats off to Ben, Alex and Mani, along with everyone else that ran for the brilliant charity Contact A Family. And indeed all the other limber St. Nicks, your charities are cool too.

Now for crying out loud, get in and have a mince pie, it’s bitter out there.

Wall 2.0

Illustrators of the interwebz! Fancy getting your mitts on a massive blackboard?

We’re looking for awesome peeps to come and flaunt their artistic wares on this vast canvas. You’ll be following in the footsteps of Mr. Chris Martin , no pressure.

Up for it? Send folio pics to win@work-club.com - subject: WALL

Smashing Pumpkins(!)

Although Halloween is still a week away, we couldn’t resist jumping the gun and flexing our pumpkin carving muscles, lets just hope they last until the big day. (update: they didn’t. LOL)

Burke Club

Today Tom and Cam met the lovely Alexandra Burke on the roof terrace of City Hall.

She’s as delightful as she looks and a great download.

And while Alex is in the pipeline - check out the other great artists at Nokia Music We Like.

Flaming Hoop of Fire Fail.

We have a new Dyson Air Multiplier in the Club.

Ziggy refused to jump through the hoop, denying us a billion hits on YouTube. We try again tomorrow, with sausages.

The Voicebox in Parliament

Sidekick Studio’s robot buddy makes its debut in the Houses of Parliament today. The robotic arm will write out what you want your MPs to read. Should take their mind off any expenses-type letters that maybe waiting for them on their return…

Never play the bagpipes indoors.

In an entirely predictable fit of casual xenophobia, a piper played Gareth off to be married in the morning. ‘Flower of Scotland’ check. Loudest version ever. He left shortly after.

Raw Data Now

The Science Museum is 100 years old. The Internet is apparently 40. Last night we saw Sir Tim Berners-Lee talk about what he had in mind ‘when he invented the web’. And the future possibilites of a web completely infused with linked data - apparently he’d got the audience at Ted chanting ‘Raw Data Now!’ the last time he spoke about this. The Science Museum crowd were slightly more reserved.

Next week, the guy that first had the idea for football.

Ciao there!

If you happened to be in Pizza Express Euston recently and your American Hot happened to be produced even more strategically than usual, here’s why: Frida and Lou.

Exhibiting prowess at the door, on the floor and the pizziola counter, the lovely Club femmes touched base with our favourite Restaurateur Client (and literally, they literally touched some base).

If this was the scouts, they’d be sporting doughball badges as the rest of us looked on with wide-eyed admiration.
