Our Very Own Rockin' Roller Girl |
Just so we’re all aware, Roller Derby is a full contact, all female sport. And one more time from the same hymn sheet, our Jo - creative services manager extraordinaire - plays for the The London Rockin’ Rollers. They took on and trashed the Royal Windsor Roller Girls this Saturday in their second home bout in York Hall, Bethnal Green. Various club members (including a couple of Franco-Hibernian, new roller girl recruits) roared on in support from the sidelines. Nobody in the club is allowed to play a sport or anything else of that nature without roaring support from the rest of us, but ‘Sideshow Ho 808’ is our very first Roller Derby champ. Watch out for word on the next bout this coming September. Hot. |

Go go, Buritto! |
We’re fans of a good feed here in Work Club. We are conveniently located, with the gastronomic pleasures of Borough Market but a brownie’s throw away. However there is one spot which holds a special place in our taste buds. And today, they gave us free food for wearing moustaches. They know us so well. Thank you Tortilla, thank you. |

Objectified |
A well-groomed, Helvetica loving posse of us bowled over to the Barbican yesterday evening to see Objectified. The second film in an action packed, design trilogy by Mr. Gary Hustwit. it’s about our “complex relationship with manufactured objects and, by extension, the people who design them” read all about it and buy yourself a poster here. The charming Q&A session afterwards was full of intellectual insight and concerns for future sustainability. Our own worldly-wise input came from Si, who asked what we all really wanted to know “Hey Gary, what’s in your pockets right now?” This included: a) A wallet big enough to fit his passport in b) a doodle by Nik Schwabe, the 83 year old Swiss visual phenomena artist and c) Some receipts and junk. When asked what the third and final film in the series is going to be about, the charming Garry came over all mysterious and vanished in a puff of silver smoke. |

Work Club VS Pirata |
A tremendous air of anticipation overwhelmed SE1 in the run up to what some have referred to as the most momentous game of two halves London has ever witnessed. (Alright, it was 27 - 7 to Work Club, we’re just not into banging on about it. Plus some fierce disputing went on in the local afterwards, so best to just let sleeping Ziggys lay). |

Recent Statistical Analysis |
This chart highlights performance on the main floor over the past two weeks. Although, incidents of quickly cooing “loooooook attha puppppy” when an idea isn’t being particularly well received have risen. With beneficial outcome. |

Russ' awesome summer shooes. |
It’s a popular misconception that in the run up to summer Cows say ‘moo’. What they are actually saying is ‘shooe’. And when they say ‘shooe’ they are talking about Russ’ new summer shooes. Which are awesome. |

We’ve been judging websites at D&AD at Olympia - marvel at the rows of posters that fill the hall. Jason McCann from Taxi NY took an even better picture…
