Nokia N-gage is giving away loads of copies of Fifa ‘08 for compatible phones.
Observation no1 : People play mobile phone games when they’re bored. Often when they’re on the bus, tube or other forms of public transport.
Observation no2 : When people play games, particularly football-based games, they often develop verbal/facial ticks, spasms, behavioural oddities that are normally safely locked away behind the closed doors of the living room.
We shot undercover for two days on London Underground with five hidden cameras and a few stooges to capture the collision of the worlds of Public Transport and Private Gameplay. And for once on the tube, the public actually noticed each other and smiled - united in their mockery of the idiot in front of them.
Free London Lites for a year go to production company Hotspur & Argyle, and director Theo Delaney who, dressed as a businessman with a briefcase camera, was literally in the heart of everything and came away with hours of great footage for Alaster Jordan at the Whitehouse to knock into shape, Factory to score and for Fat Man Collective to CCTV-iv-ise for their great looking site.
A scheduled replacement bus service will continue this post elsewhere - there is a new Work Club website coming very soon…
The Nokia Personal Navigators guide us around the site, showing the lost beginner how to use Nokia Maps.
The site hosts a range of online content all designed to show how new technology should be remarkably simple. A Personal Navigator in the introductory film shows the lost beginner how to use Maps, then specific Personal Navigators for the Runner/Cyclist/Driver/Walker in all of us show us how to get the most out of your chosen activity.
There’s also five films that show the benefits of using Maps, as Personal Navigators come to the aid of a Lonely Goth, a Lost Chicken, an Alien Tourist, Pac-Man on a training run, and two Pirates in dire need of Voice-Guided Navigation.
Massive thanks go to all the directors and producers who helped us bring it to life, especially Ben Whitehouse at Joy@RSA for the How To film, Austen Humphries at Rattling Stick for Run/Cycle/Walk/Drive and Richard Ayoade at Kog Industries for the super8 loveliness of the Goth, Pirates et al. And Fat Man Collective for producing the whole Maps site.
After 16 weeks, 90 YouTube videos and 50 bands later, Chris Neadham’s Nokia Green Room backstage pass has finally expired. He deserves his summer break…
After 16 weeks on The Nokia Green Room, it was the final encore (for the time being) of Chris Neadham at Nokia’s Skate Almighty event on the South Bank.
He’s now off for a worldwide tour of Latvia, followed by rock immortality in Japan, where his unique sense of style will not be given so much as a second glance.
As part of our early summer ‘How To’ programme, John Martin (Dave’s dad) from Languedoc specialists Williams Wines came in last night to teach us the difference between a Malbec and a Merlot. Or more accurately the difference between a red and a white.
John was patient, informative and was encouraged that we largely ignored using the spitoon. Question of the night goes to Gui, with the superlative “What letter does Shiraz start with?”
Introducing Mr Gareth Briggs, our new FD. He’s so good with the ‘numbers’ that he even balances his clothing. ** drum roll ** thank you, thank you, we’re here all week.
Plum Vision is the first expression of our new positioning for Plum Baby - ‘A Taste Of Things To Come’.
As Plum Baby the food uses real organic, complex ingredients to explore the sense of taste, so Plum the brand can start to introduce babies to the other senses – and give something back to their consumers in a way that a TV or print ad never could. Continue reading ‘NEW WORK - PLUM VISION.’
There comes a time in every girls life when you need to put down your MacBook and head to the park to be interviewed by a Japanese camera crew about what socks you wear. Today was that day for Flic & JaLucy.
